Gregory A. Schrumpf, DDS, FAGD
Dr. Schrumpf attended Ohio State University, where he graduated with the degree, Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). Dr. Schrumpf has received the F.A.G.D. from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) after having completed over 500 hours of quality, educational courses and successful completion of the fellowship examination. He is currently working toward the mastership designation in the AGD. He has attended post graduate courses at the Dawson Center and The Mid Atlantic Center for Advanced Dental Study. In addition, Dr. Schrumpf has extensive training in the area of dental implants and their restoration. He has an expertise in Dr. Jack Turbyfill's branching techniques used in the fabrication of custom dentures and partials, and has 20 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of Temporal Mandibular Disorders (TMD). He has an in depth understanding of complex dental needs. Together with a team of specialists and high quality dental labs, Dr. Schrumpf provides his patients with the care and understanding of a true professional.
Barry L. Herman, DMD
Dr. Herman is from Louisville, Kentucky. He received an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Herman received his degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville in 1982. After graduation, he participated in a one year general practice residency with the United States Army at Fort Riley, Kansas. This is where he received advanced training in all the major disciplines of dentistry. Dr. Herman then spent four years in Giessen, Germany in a general practice clinic.
In 1987, he moved to Virginia Beach to pursue missions studies at Regent University. Dr. Herman joined Dr. Schrumpf in his practice in 1989. Here he has the opportunity to provide his patients with a wide range of services such as, root canal therapy, extractions and restorative treatments as well as caring for the children of the practice. Dr. Herman has been able to provide alternative treatment appliances to our patients who suffer from mild to moderate Sleep Apnea and have difficulty tolerating a CPAP (Continuous Airway Pressure Appliance) machine.
Dr. Herman resides in Chesapeake, Virginia with his wife, Mary Hayes and his two daughters and son. He enjoys gardening, reading and is very involved in the ministries and activities of his church.
